Farewell

The sea beckons me
ebbing gold ruffles recede
I want to linger
not say goodbye to summer

Continuing with the same theme of color and and the soft hues of my last post, I've been wanting to share this with anyone who has not seen it yet. I think it sends an optimistic message; there is light after darkness, calm after rough seas, and clouds do have silver linings. This was painted by the late Senator Ted Kennedy (1934-2011).

Since I am a Kennedy fan - really any of them but have not seen this painting - thanks so much for sharing! I hope this last month of summer is as good as today and the weed ahead they say - mid 70's are perfect. Nanc

Originally, when I began this blog, I was 64 and opened

with the following lyrics from the Beatles' song:

When I get older losing my hair,

Many years from now,

Will you still be sending me a valentine

Birthday greetings bottle of wine?

If I'd been out till quarter to three,

would you lock the door,

Will you still need me, will you still feed me,

When I'm sixty-four.

Here it is 2018. This March I turn 71. It's time to revamp, weed out the worst and make a book of sorts containing the best of the blog.
