adventure...
In 2008 my daughter photographed my balloon flight from below and I took pictures from the basket. It was an adventure from the middle of my bucket list. Ordinarily afraid of heights this didn't bother me. I felt safe. This post is for the exercise on "adventure" we were asked to do in the Raining Umbrellas e-course in its first week. However it took awhile to get the slide show going...
Wow, did you take this photo, Kathy? I love it! My husband proposed to me in a hot air balloon and this brings back fond memories. :)
ReplyDeleteYou put your words well on paper, too. It was fun reading your thoughts on adventure!
Yes, Vicki, I took the photos from inside the basket and my daughter took those from the ground. Combined they made the nice slide show above. Did you see it?
ReplyDeleteYour husband sounds like a keeper!
wow :) would love to fly on a balloon!! must be wonderful. when I did 40 I wanted to jump from a plane, even signed up but, when I was learning all the safety issues, found out that I'm not in good shape and the landing would be dangerous. so the instructor said it wasn't safe to do it. with the money that I had saved for that jump I bought a ticket to London, to visit my sister, so I flew anyway ;)
ReplyDeleteAt least you are not afraid of flying!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can ride a balloon some day. And I
was surprised that in the balloon I felt safe and was not afraid of the altitude, but I am very afraid of height in tall buildings or of cliffs.
I always thought I would like to do that but I can't look down even a few feet so out for me - glad you did take the adventure to new heights :-)!! I can't see all the slideshow but this one picture is great. Nanc
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I agree with you, all days can be an adventure,, : )
ReplyDeleteI'm also afraid of height but not when I'm flying ;) lol
ReplyDeleteCatching up...thank you Vicki, Nanc, Ana, and Wilma. Changed my mind on the video.
