One attempt to add texture to a photo I took last summer...more to come in the days ahead..entry for Photo Art Friday......I still do not have photoshop so hope this result from picnik.com will work for now.
Before...
with only one layer with a vintage focus...
....and after....
Very much like the shadow, color choice, and texture work. Lovely image. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely and i love the mystery of looking in a window. Always wonder what life is inside the room!
ReplyDeleteThat is so mysterious and beauty. I like the old windows and the shadow. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteI love this window! Much more interesting than the aluminum framed pieces of glass in my house. And yours leads me to wonder about what the inside is like. Great work!
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me. I've heard that Picnik works well.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is as a painting, I think, the second is nice too, but I like nr 1 best.
ReplyDeletewow these are great, I prefer the first one too, great work.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad each of you found something to like about these photos. The mystery is that it isn't really a window but a mirror designed to look like one. It resides in what was previously a darkened corner next to a bamboo tree, hence the shade. Now it reflects light from many directions. I wish I could say it is a small window in my villa overlooking the sea, and that beyond it music emanates from an old victrola in room where there is wine and dancing. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh very nice! I used picnik on mine too - guess I had better learn something else now that they are closing it! : (
ReplyDeletegreat rendering . . .
ReplyDeleteThis turned out quite nicely. The colors are lovely and the shadows worked in well. I just read that it's a mirror and think you did a great job using it to create your art piece. I'm sad about Picnik closing but will try out Google+ to see if they have the same features. - I also use Gimp which is a FREE program similiar to PSE so you might want to check it out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a change in mood you have created! Love shuttered windows. Beautiful work - thank you for sharing it with PAF kkkkaty.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous! It looks like an expensive painting.
ReplyDeleteNice work.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Hi, love you image and editing, it creates such a lovely illusion. I use picknic and Gimp and I will be sad to lose picknic as I have got used to using it. Blessings Suzanne
ReplyDeleteWhat a great edit (without PS yet). Really interesting color cast and shadows. I love Picnik, and I'm so bummed to find out that it's "going away"!
